Enemies sometimes fly through walls and floors when they die, i wish they could fix that..
Btw, how close am i to completion, i'm doing "reach the antennae" mission...?
Roughly, I'd say you're 1/3 of the game from the end. But it really depends from you - the ramaining part may take 30 hours or 5.

Objects in general have a habit of falling through floors.
Sometimes npc's fall through the world geometry and get stuck floating in space. This is evidenced, for example, by bugged groups of alerted opposing faction npc looking down/pointing weapons through the surface of an asphalt road.

Ok, i thought i was like 2/3 in :)
I had to revert to an older save, couldnt make that antennae mission because of the heavy radiation in there, i ran out of health all of the time until i had not health kits... should i save up for the ssp-99m armor that you can buy from the scientist for 96000ru you think?
Some other questions: that PSI-helmet, is it just supposed to be in the inventory, i cant seem to drop it on the character or use it in any way.
How can i use scopes that i find? I need some kind of tool?

For radiation protection, use artifacts. I use Urchin and Fireball in a combo, two of each. That makes radiation hardly a concern unless you get too close to the center of the activity.
The PSI helmet does it's job as long as it is in your inventory.
And as for the scopes, I think you can drag and drop a scope on a weapon and it will accept it if the weapon can use such scopes.
And by the way, you are way closer to the end of the game than 1/3 if you've reached the antennae, if we look at the main path that is. There are plenty of side-quests you can do in the game so it is hard to estimate with them included how much you got left.

K, thx Bjossi.

Vurt. It kind of sounds like you're following the main path the game sets, as it seems like you're getting through the game fairly quickly. I did that the first time I played and got to Chernobyl after around 14 hrs or so. I quit before I finished because I'd heard that if you explored you could get more like 40 hrs out of it by exploring and doing a lot of the side quests.
If you are playing fairly quickly, I would suggest slowing down or starting over. I only say that because now that I know the mechanics of the game it's way better this time through. And I mean way better. This game begs to be taken very very slowly. I can't believe the amount of stuff I missed. I've already put in around 10 hrs and I'm just getting to
x18
.
It's almost like a completely different game.
BTW. Does anyone know if there's a bug with the
find the family rifle side quest? When I return to the bar he asks if I found it, but I get no option to give it to him. I'm just wondering what this "rare" artifact is that I'm missing out on.
I'm acctually taken it a bit slower now since i reloaded my save, i need better equipment before i go any further with the main missions, AND I dont want it to end too quickly.
The maps has tons of things to discover. Much more so than e.g BioShock it seems.

Ya there's a whole lot to find if you look for it. You need to search every nook and crany for stuff. You'll be surprised at what you can find. I honestly can't believe how much more I'm enjoying the game this time.
As for Bioshock, I think it's a great game, but Stalker is the better game by a pretty good margin as far as I'm concerned.

As far as I know there isn't any bug with the quest. I think you haven't found the rifle so you haven't the option. The artifact must be "mama's beads" (+5 to bullet proof) if I recall correctly.

family rifle is in underground in the wild territory. beside the helicopter crash site where you first meet the scientist from yantar is a ramp into an collapsed underground "room" filled with anomalies and a monster I think. if you hop around on the car roofs you should be able to find the rifle + some goodies !!!
