I just tried to get documents from Agroprom silently and failed, despite I tried hard. It would be probably easily doable if not that REALLY annoying bug which makes nearest enemies aware about player after loading a saved game. I wonder is it possible to fix that bug at all, it makes stealth virtually impossible :(
Anyway, does anyone know if there is a difference in quantity of military in Agroprom Institute at night and at day?

Supposedly yes, but I never actually tried going there after midnight. I always want to kill as many soldiers as possible, so that I can get their goodies.

Sidorovic said that in the military outpost in Cordon are only two guards at night. Either I went there too early in the night, or Sido was lying to me. . .

We were talking about Agroprom, not the Cordon outpost. Still, I tried to go to the Cordon outpost during the evening and there were a lot more than two soldiers there.

I found that the number of military stays the same. It's just that at night all military (except one) move from institute building to barracks.

I know, I was just referring to 242's question about the number of military guys changing during night time or not.
But is it true that the closest bad guys are aware of you as soon as you load a savegame, regardless of if you are in their line of sight or not? That would explain a lot of the things that have been giving me headaches in areas like the scorcher bunker in Red Forest.

The enemies seems to change their distances after each reload, sometimes when you reload they might be close enough to notice you.. AND they do seem to be a bit more alert after reloading. I guess they've done that on purpose to make it more challenging.
I'm officially in love with this game :thumb: once i got better weapons and armor it really opened up in terms of gameplay and the atmosphere and "level"-design is just totaly awesome!
It'd be the best game ever if it was just one huge world (no loading zones) + vehicles + more RPG.. It's still really great though.

Hehe, and vurt wrote a few days ago: "I doubt i'll finish this game in its current state, perhaps sometime when i'm bored out of my mind hehe". Rather a drastic change I'd say :)

haha yes, i was extremely frustrated at that point, it just felt too damn hard.
Btw, "242"? Are you a Front 242 fan by any chance :P

Is this the mark of a really good game? How often do we see gamers start off disliking a game but slowly becoming dedicated fans? Bioshock seems to be the exact opposite - so many people wanted it to be great but have now come to the realization that its a beautiful piece of work with no soul.
Stalker was hyped, then thought to be vaporware and written off and then finally released with loads of missing features and bugs.. gem in the rough for sure.
