[RAMBLE]
I was wondering, with all the different types of arrows and bolts are any actually better than the others? Are ebony arrows better than glass or chitin? Do they actually do more damage? I can see having silver for undead and specteral creatures, but otherwise is there a point to having all these different kinds? I've seen enchanted arrows before and was wondering if anyone had tried enchanting them themselves before, do certain kinds enchant better? Are you enchanting one arrow/bolt per soul or can you have a whole stack done? I killed one woman for a quest in Tirbunal who has some sweet enchanted arrows and I would love to get more of them, but I doubt I'd find them being sold anywhere so I'd figure I'd try making some. Also, I know one warriors guild guy in Sadrith Mora that sells Ebony arrows, does anyone know someone not guild restricted that sells them? Or daedric arrows, I've oly ever found a handfull of them, if that's all you'll ever find then really what's the point? [/RAMBLE]
Thanks
Scud

What difference is there between arrow and bolts of different materials?
Different damage and flight path. Chitin arrows fly with less dip, but do less damage.
Chitin Arrow 1-2
Daedric Arrow 10-15
Ebony Arrow 5-10
Glass Arrow 1-6
Iron Arrow 1-3
Silver Arrow 1-3
Steel Arrow 1-4
Orcish Bolt 1-6
Bonemould Bolt 3-4
Silver Bolt 3-3
Steel Bolt 2-4
Iron Bolt 2-3

Scud -
If we're talking about ALL projectile weapons... and we're talking about Tribunal...
You have the chance to get the best ranged weapon in the game... certainly the easiest one to take down HUGE opponents and still stay hidden... the Black Dart Gang's darts. Some do 5 points Health Damage for 120 seconds, others do 10 points Poison for 120 seconds. There aren't many people that one dart can't take down.
More Spoilers
If you're playing Tribunal, you'll find a way to take down the Black Dart Gang without killing each and every one. BUT, I recommend killing them all individually, as that's the only way that you can harvest those wonderful darts.
I'm sure there's a way to Enchant your own version of these, but since I've always stunk up the joint at Enchanting, I didn't even bother trying.

Thanks for all the info guys, when you find whoever made that list then you can tell him to add corkbulb to the list as I am using both arrows and bolts of that type right now.
Still gotta find whrere to buy more Ebony arrows though.:thumb:
Zaphod, I have finally run into one of those guys (I was almost begining to think they were a myth) and he started with just his regular darts so I got one of each of his magical ones. I'm a little confused by your advice though, don't kill every one but kill them individualy?

I have downloaded the Area Effect arrow MOD from the official Morrowind MOD page and I realy love those arrows.

But, DON'T DO IT, not if you want the darts. If you choose the non-combative, easy, kill-em-all-without-ever-seeing-them way (and this way only presents itself if you meet a certain person, so don't sweat it if you don't find it), you will have a VERY tough time getting to their bodies to recover their Fabulous Darts of Total Coolness.

Hrm.. it's not that tough if you enchant an item w/ a constant-effect water-breathing (I think even an exquisite ring will do), plus you can watch them drown if you're fast enough

When I first saw them, I figured they would be like most other npc's... weak and easy to kill, so I just pulled out my repeating crossbow and shot at them... Unfortunately, they didn't die in 4-5 hits like most other creatures/npc's(100 difficulty) and they pulled out these spring darts that hit me for around 200-400pts dmg. Since I only had 600hp, I died... that never happened before!... :grr:
