Just started playing Morrowind and went hunting around for mods/plugins that sound cool. Saw lots of positive things about the marksman mod, but the dowload link for it on Morrowind summit was down. So I DL'ed it from The Lys' page of morrowind mods (some of the others there look pretty cool too). It came as a .rar file (never seen that type before). I needed something to unzip it, so I got the zipgenius program recommended on the lys' page. Unzipped it into my data files directory and it just dumped all of the files into the directory without sorting them into the proper subfolders. Leaving me with all kinds of screwy graphics if i try to play with the mod. So now I am kinda stumped, the mod consists of hundreds of files so moving them individually doesn't seem practical (not to mention I'm not sure I would know where to put all of them). Would using a different decompression program (like winzip) be better, did i just do something wrong with zipgenius? Any recommendations would be way appreciated.
thanks,
jay

I would recomend WinRaR for .rar files.
Mods are supposed to extract into correct meshes and icons folders it's possible you did something wrong or the zipgeniusprogram didn't work so good on .rar.
If you want to do it manually textures start with txt and meshes with M.

Of course, then there are the mods that use some stupid directory structure, so they can jam their pretty title in just one more time as a directory name. Arg.
