Question about the dwarven area. - by Greyson

There is another way to defeat the beast without crushing it. When you get the first power stone, key, and meat of the one dead dwarf, you need to ready the key. Then as fast as possible, run back to the one locked door, unlock and open it, then haul ass down the tunnel. Drop one dwarf meat near the now open door as you are running, and the other piece of flesh near the opening to the crusher room. Turn right and go into the one "office" area with the staircase. Throw the upstairs lever, and as quick as possible, run back to the crusher room and throw the lava grate lever near the wall.
If the beast took its time, you will be able to dunk it in the lava just as its coming in the room. If the beast is fast, wait for it on the upper level in the office, and when it tries to climb the stairs, jump over it, then run and throw the grate lever. Then jump over the lava and watch the black beast become extra crispy.
If timed just right, the beast will never touch you, and you then will have an extra power stone for later.
Also, you can drag the mithiril chunk all the way back to the crusher, thus saving another power stone. Unfourtunately, they aren't worth anything when you sell em, so I guess they are only useful if you can't find the others.

Actually crushing the beast will only knock it out. You will still have to make it fall in the lava, its just easier to do when you knock it out first.

Regarding the Mithril Sabre vs the Mithril 2 Handed Sword...
I don't know anything about any Koltk powder, so all I can vouch for is the plain Mithril Swords. Spoiler Stats, exactly as the text is written when the weapon is highlighted:
Mithril Sabre:
DMG+10
Mithril 2 Handed Sword:
DMG+20 AC+5 Stealth-10%

Neither of these weapons show any durability or skill/attribute requirements at all. Personally, without any bonuses, I don't see any reason to forge a sabre at all, unless stealth is a big deal or unless someone has managed to find a decent shield.
