Ok. Everyone knows it takes silver, Daedric, or magic to hurt a spook. BUT, in marksman, there are both silver bows, and silver arrows. I know I have hurt spooks w/silver arrows w/non-silver bows, but does it work in reverse? Could I use, say, iron arrows in a silver bow? Thanks.

No, I dont think so. At any rate that wasnt the case in Morrowind, and I dont think it'll be the case in Oblivion. Seeing as your hitting the ghost with a non silver thing, it wont do damage. Thats what I'd have thought, at any rate...

Hmm. ok. Thanks for your quick reply!

They've changed it for Oblivion, I'm using a Deadric bow with Elven arrows and I can hit ghosts with it.

You could just beat the ghost with the bow. That's what I'd do. Jab it in his eye.

What classes as something you can only damage with silver/daedric weapons? Is it supposed to be all undead or just ghosts?

Ghosts, Wraiths and wil-o-the-wisps, could be a couple of others, basically spectral undead/things with no solid form.

Ah, I thought Vampires counted. Silly me. Now to get that Elven Claymore on them...
Will o' the Wisps you say? I'm sure I took one of them down with a dwarven longblade, though it might have been enchanted.

Vampires have some Resist Normal Weapons, just not 100% like Ghosts, Wisps & Wraiths.
