Question about guest-posting. Nothing really important. - by dj_ivocha

I was just reading some old threads, when I noticed (

How is that possible? Even if somebody is banned, his profile still remains, as is his member status (or, n00b status, as some recent "members" have earned it

As I said in the thread title, nothing really important, I just find it interesting. :)

Goggleboy no longer appears in the member database. Which is why he shows up as Guest. In all likelihood, this is the result of periodic purging of inactive / abandoned accounts, which MsLedd takes great pains to ensure are actually abandoned before deleting them to save space in the database (as well as keep the system clean)

Hmm. Is it even possible to post as a guest at the moment? To my knowledge, you have to be registered.

I see, thanks for the reply! :)
On a somewhat related note, how many users are actually active? "Active" as you would describe them (like, having posted in the last week/month/3 months)?
