Have TTLG.com's mods/admins ever banned anyone for just not 'fitting in' with the community? Would they ever? I was just wondering if they have an unwritten rule about not fitting in. I know it sounds odd, but I am a member of a couple forums that do exactly that.

I seem to recall a couple (certainly no more than three) of people over the last ten years who have been so freaking irritating with their not-fitting-in that they were banned, yes. I also think that at least one of those re-registered, calmed the fuck down, and continued on his merry way as a contributing and reasonably well-liked member from that point forward.
But no, we don't put the boots to someone just because they don't "fit in"... we may hint aggressively that they should go back to (insert forum here) and stay there, but whenever you see the phrase "we don't do that here" it's usually in a helpful, rather than angry, context.
oh wait we did ban Sluggs from CommChat, but that was because we're a bunch of elitist circle-jerkers in there and we don't want proles dirtying up the atmos, thank you very much.

Considering as his last couple of posts were a massive hissy fit overreaction as part of an ongoing campaign against a particular poster, I hope he did get a time out. And I say this as someone who likes the guy.

He may pop in himself to explain the situation but it's more of a self-imposed exile as he can't take some people, whom he doesn't agree with on certain matters, quite as passively or nonchalantly as many of us can due to the nature of the disagreement.
