Quest for Cassius: Talk to Three People and Get Notes

I really hope someone can help, I can not find the third person who is supposed to be in Ald'rhun Ad Skir Inn (if I'm off on spelling, please excuse me.)

I have made it really far in the game (Warlock--almost wizard) and don't know if he went wandering or, gulp, if I accidently killed him? I did get in a tussle there over some herb I picked up from the banister. What if he joined in from downstairs? I was upstairs. It kind of seems unlikley that he'd come up. Usually I reset if I get into trouble, but man, I can't think where he'd be and the herb that wasn't pilfered is still on the rail--so I didn't reset.

Did anyone else not find him? Can I get him back? Or did he ask me to do something that didn't make it into my journal. That if I do it, he will pop up again? I'm revisiting the game after 1 -2 years and the journal is not as detailed as I'd like sometimes.

If you are playing the PC version you can script him back in using the console,or you can use the tcs to give youself what you need.

Its been awhile and I have forgot how to use the console :o

If you did kill him, you should have received a "Thread of prophecy broken" message.

Perhaps he fell through the floor... if you are on PC, enter the console ( Press the ~ key ) and type RA.

Also, if you killed him Cassius will yell at you when you talk to him (I think), which does make things differcult, you might like to save if you do try talking to him because if you get a journal index when he yells at you it means you can't fix the problem (easily) anymore.

Um. Aren't the three people in Vivec? I seem to recall only the one guy in Ald-ruhn.

I agree with dvrabel. All three of the ‘informants’ are in Vivec. Perhaps you are thinking of the next stage of the main quest: to gather information from Hassour Zainsubani. He is an ashlander in the Ald Skar Inn in Ald’ruhn. He is found in the small ‘room’ just below the upper level and above the lower level. If you are indeed still trying to locate the third contact in Vivec, check your journal for Cassius’ instructions. He identifies all three and gives a general idea of where they can be found. If you still have difficulties, name the NPC that you are unable to locate and someone can give you specific advice how to proceed.

Oh and if Cassius yells at you for killing him when you talk to him, load before you talked to Cassius and tell me and I can give you the code to fix it. If he doesn't then he is lost in the floor or something. If RA doesn't work then I can give you another code (but it probably means your looking in the wrong place).

You guys are right. :-) I was on the next mission, not the informant mission, and I did find the Ashlander in a room downstairs. I didn't realize there was a second downstairs room and kept NOT finding him in his room (with the books). I thought the wording was strange "..find him in the room beneath the bar." Well, the first room didn't go back that far...but there wasn't a staircase behind the bar itself, so I missed it to the side. *eyeroll*

I was so stuck--it was a little thing, but stuck is stuck. Thank you all for your replies!
