But on QS, haven't seen it, but from everything I hear and read, it took them just two films to fuck up this 're-invented' Bond franchise. CR was great, and now we're apparently getting a Bourne imitation without a shred of a plot.

I don't know it didn't seem all that Bond-ish, the villain was boring, the plot made no sense compared to the books and other movies and I ahrdly consider a game of cards exciting.Bond just seemed to be a bit of a buffoon in that film.

Okay, so I watched it and it kinda lives up to the negative hype that was established by some in this thread.
I think the worst part was the direction. Way too many 'shakycam' use. I generally have no problems with it, but I felt that it almost ruined some scenes, like the rooftop chase early in the movie. That, for example, could've been a lot more enjoyable if it was directed like, say, the Molaka chase. I think handheld cam works best for close quarters action scenes like the elevator fight scene, and the apartment fight scene (which incidentally reminded me of a similar scene in the 3rd Bourne movie).
The plot and the script was meh. The main villain was pretty uninteresting too (though I think Amalric did good, the problem was rather the role itself). Also, since I'm more into the entertaining kind of Bond, I didn't like that this movie didn't have enough of it. Too little style, elegance, humor, gentleman... it almost felt like a simple 2008 action movie (and a Bourne imitation).
I remember I didn't like Casino Royale back then, but in the light of QoS, CR is definitely an excellent Bond movie...

Yeah if the director has to imitate Bourne -movies, why didn't he imitate the first Bourne -movie which has beautiful action scenes? In my books the best ever.

It wasn't a great film, but I really don't buy into this whole imitating bourne/shakycam critic bandwagon that is currently circling amidst the action film forum carnival.
I can virtually guarantee anyone mentions a film where the lead character gets more than slightly out of breath and some bright spark will pipe up with something along the lines of "Well, it wasn't Bourne, was it?"
I get it, people like to make comparisons. But like, Jesus. It's this one again :D
