Because it is still in use.
The 'old' T2X forum was renamed and moved to the Thief Series category.

No, we are not using any kind of mem caching. I have experimented with it in the past and just ended up with loads of errors and degraded performance. It was, I admit, most likely due to a configuration error, but I haven't yet had the time or the motivation to sit down and work out what went wrong.
