Purses purses. - by Flux

Darth_Bane asked this in the hopefully-will-be-locked-by-moderators newbie thread and I tried finding a solution, couldn't. The npcs that carry purse sometimes in the city sections do not have any scripts on them to spawn loot. So where do these purses come from? If I can find that, I might find a solution to re-spawn them after being taken by the player but at the moment I don't even know how purses are spawned, by which scripts?

Hi guys, literally just found this forum.
Its nice to know people are still playing and editing this wonderful series.
A question if i may.
I adore pick-pocketing within the street parts betwwen missions. However after a certain amount of items stolen off people, i have to go to another area since the npcs spawned no longer carry loot.
So i was wondering, is there a mod or edit i can make so that loot continues to spawn with npc's?for example - im at south quarter and merrily stealing off people but after 15 minutes (or a dozen loot taken) i have to move on to the next area (i.e. The docks) since no more loot is being created.

As far as I remember, the loot is attached to the NPC archetypes, so it's linked stuff in the gamesys. If you place one of the civs from public areas they'll have the maximum ammount of loot they can (purse, necklaces, glasses, bracelets...), and then scripts actually destroy the loot rather than spawning it.
And I think those scripts on are on the loot stuffs. It has been quite a long times since I checked into that stuff though.
As for his question - no, there isn't a mod for it, because it'd mean a lot of monkeying around with the gamesys. After that I suppose it should just be a swap and go kind thing though.

If I've understood the question well, maybe you could add a trigger link->trigger script to the loot that when you frob it, it wait some time and then re-form it.
Anyway, two years and half ago, when I played Thief DS for the first time, I noticed that in Stonemarket Plaza (belike when the scary Gamall appears in the streets), when an AI was killed, it "comes back to life" (in another section of the map, certainly) after some time, and then returns. Maybe it should be interesting for that purpose checking out this thing.
