I agree that's a terrible reason to be pro death penalty, but I wouldn't apply it so broadly to an entire nation without seeing some HARDCORE STATS.
I'll admit that I don't have stats to back up the first bit - but every single time I've ever had a death penalty discussion (or read about it in the news, etc.) "they deserve it" inevitably comes up as a justification.
Okay, did a bit of searching - the only stats I could find in a quick search came from Time Magazine in 1997, where 60% of Americans said that vengeance was NOT a good reason for the death penalty.
Still, there's a difference between asking straight out "is it okay to do it for vengenace" and people's actual feelings when a heated death-penalty case comes up (the recent Fort Hood shooting will almost certanly come up).

It's funny. In those comments in the original site they were fighting over the thought that it's fake, but here you bring it to the good ol' classic way. I must say, I'm starting to not dislike this place. :D

So these parents found notes from their dead babygirl and the next thing they came up with was to publish them in a book and start a website and I guess it just snowballed from there yeah? Awesome.
And I know they're paying to some cancer fund, but if the same thing happened to me, I just can't see me reacting like that. I'd probably keep these notes to myself, because what use are they really to anyone else. Unless it's all a huge big fake of course designed to make money from their own kid's death.
