First thing I read in the morning - and fuck. My whole day is fucked. I'm heating up a hot cacao for myself as we speak :(
So you're human after all.

One of the most heated arguments I've had in the last year was whether it was worse to rape a dog or a human.
I really, really hate the person who decided it was a good idea to have a heated argument about that in a van full of people on a long car trip...

Awful, but I have to question if this is the stuff of global news. We may express our justified outrage, but shouldn't BBC focus on something more important (and I am not even drawing the Darfur/Congo/North Korea comparison)?

It will have come from the BBC local news, they have around 40 local radio stations plus a handful of regional ones (Scotland etc) and 10 or so national stations. And they also have about 15 regional TV companies.
Most with some sort of news department.

No. I was being sarcastic. As were most people in this thread. Because, you know, no one would give a milifuck about some dog being kicked to death in some park somewhere.

As bad as this is it's still not as bad as people standing around watching a 15 year old get gang raped and doing nothing. SO CHEER UP!:):):):):):):):D:(
Really, now some of you can understand how I feel when some piece of shit hurts a kid. For some of you imagine how you would feel if your favorite anime character was killed or favorite conspiracy theory debunked.

yeah dude, this thread about a dead puppy is indeed about you
is there some way to be against both gang rape and puppy killing? and can i join that club without wanting to beat my chest on a videogames forum or kill anyone in a righteous fury?

Heh - somehow Tocky and I end up in pretty much the same place in threads like these. I still think it can be argued that while killing an innocent puppy is horrible, hurting a kid pretty much forfeits your right to be treated like a human. Calling Dexter!
Funny thing has happened to me lately. We get kids coming around our neighborhood all the time to play or hang out. I used to believe kids and teens are generally good and still have their whole life ahead of them to choose how they're going to be. But there's some kids who I've come to believe are pretty much destined to be pricks their whole life. You can just see the path they're on even at their young age. Bullshitters, mean, selfish, shameless little shits. I pretty much treat them like the adults I know they will become, instead of dealing with them gently. I call them liars when they lie, tell them to gtfo when they act like pricks, or encourage the other kids to disassociate with them. Pretty harsh, I know, but I've come to a point where I realize there's very little if anything I can do to 'save' the puppy-kickers of the world and the only way to survive them is to treat them like the puppy-kickers they are. I really believe some people are just fated, either by genetics or environment, to be soulless shits (and please don't regale me with stories of how "one caring adult" changed the life of a child. Please). Stories like these pretty much confirm that for me, though I wish I could have more faith in humanity. There's just no hope for some people.
