There was an ending to this story of puppy kicking but it received none of the worldwide publicity the original "incident" did.
National newspapers in the UK put up £1000's in rewards to catch the "yobs", but not one reported what turned out to have actually happened.
(

Quote:
Puppy death investigation closedAN INVESTIGATION into the death of a puppy in St Neots has been closed after it was found the animal died of a viral infection.
Reports that a 10-week-old puppy had been stamped on and killed in the Priory Park area of the town on October 26, resulted in many members of the public coming forward to offer cash rewards to catch the offenders.
One Cambridgeshire lawyer offered a £5,000 reward in a bid to see justice done.
However, police found no evidence of injuries.
A statement was released by Cambridgeshire police today, marking the end of its investigation into the puppy's death.
It said: "Cambridgeshire police have ended their investigation into the death of a puppy at St Neots on October 26 after a detailed veterinary medical examination revealed that it was most likely to have died suddenly from a virus and showed no sign of injury.
"Despite an intensive and thorough investigation, police have been unable to locate any other witnesses to an alleged incident in which the puppy was reportedly injured."
Moral of the story?

Don't join the police or you'll end up doing something retarded like investigating death of a puppy.

I actually think there's some truth to that. The brother of the girl who owned the dog registered as a poster on another forum of mine when this same topic came up. He had quite clearly been searching all over the web for references to the story and was enjoying his family's 15 minutes of fame.

Puppy kicked to death in park
Hahahah! :laff:
Each day hundreds of people get massacred, civilists and mothers with babies get their limbs blown off and their guts blown out by bomb shrapnel - but everything politically correct.
And you people get your day ruined by a puppy which has been killed by some drugged-up low-lifes?
Go watch war reports or columbian drug gang battles, it will widen your horizon regarding day-ruining stuff.
