I don't really want to get into who owes who what when it comes to TTLG, but I don't see any reason why Dan should receive special treatment, and to Dan's credit I don't think he's ever argued otherwise. He's a long-trusted old-timer who has built up the accompanying stock of good will (much like yourself or LesserFollies), but he plays by the same rules as anyone else.
