I think you guys may be being a little harsh on the guy. It's not like Digi makes any money from this. He clearly did it as something fun for family and friends; it's all the rage to make hard bound photobooks these days, and there isn't any way around them costing money to be printed. He only let us know in case someone here was interested.
Anyway, as a known Japanophile, it looks interesting to me. I may check it out, although they are pricey.

Actually, it looks to me like he's hoping to make about $25 a copy, what with the manufacturing cost for a hardcover, 6x9, colour, casewrapped, 439-page book on Lulu coming to $104.80.

Well, that's just it. Somebody on the internet is offering to sell you an overpriced book of his vacation pictures with accompanying blog entries. I'm not going to tear into the guy or call him a spammer, but I find it a little weird.

I actually have a friend who got her portrait done at the sexpo, it's pretty incredible what that guy can do. It's worth looking around the internet for some videos of him painting, there are plenty around.
