Most of the time it comes down to the fact that Unreal for instance, makes most of its money out of licensing its tech - including the editor - so it puts of lot of resources into making it kick ass and user friendly. T3Ed was released as a gift to the community, with very little time or money spent to make it user friendly.
On the other hand it is pretty much what the devs had to work with, and they are pretty representative of the tools used within the industry ie. unstable, full of legacy junk, badly organized etc. This is pretty much the norm, they get the job done, and that's about all you can say about them. Welcome to game development :thumb:

Oh, Abru suggested that such parameters as window sizes are written in T3ed.exe, I even had a version with bigger 3d mesh view from him. I'll see if I still have it. If you have some programming skills, you could try fiddling with some other values, maybe you could find some other functionalities we could benefit from :)
It's been so long so maybe this info has been somewhat forgotten, but I remember it being very easy to change window sizes using Resource Hacker - see the thread (

Yup, that's how I increased the size of the static mesh viewer in T3EnhanceD. You can also move some of the buttons and check boxes around.

Well, yes there is one T3EnhancEd, unfortunately the last file NH gave me was corrupted and he never replied to me again when I told him that. Plus, with all the custom scripts etc. you cannot simply put it over your own setup but have to replace it. That's why I think a tight network of tutorials for holy water arrows, lockable doors etc. would be better.

I didn't? Sorry about that. I thought I did reply. That's the only file I have left at this point I think. Did you try downloading it again? It may have gotten corrupted in the download, or if it got corrupted during upload I'll try uploading it again. I've tested it here and it's not corrupted on my end. There were some other benefits to using T3EnhancEd as I had managed to get all the sounds to preview in the sound browser, and I eliminated some texture redundancies...I can't remember the full list of things I ended up over hauling, but it was extensive.

I have to test my surviving copy of the installer and upload it again.

Here's the file with resized mesh browser preview (

I got it from Abru last year, but it's much older (november 2004 is the last date of modification). It works with standard T3ed install, no need to have enhanced.
