Personally I'm about to begin my third year at DTU(Denmark's Technical University)...
Taking a M. Sc. degree in engineering. I hope to go to New Zealand next fall to write a midterm project(equal to a bachelor project) on nanoscience with one of my buddies from my institute. Gonna be great! So the schedule for this fall is beefed up with hardcore physics courses... Sure hope it'll be interesting - but then again why shouldn't it? Just hope I can maintain my side job as an assistant teacher in mechanics - good money! However it does colide with some of the courses... :(

A shame you changed major though :tsktsk: Though I find advanced software programming unfathomable! *grin* When it's a matter of sticking w/ a major that you're starting to hate and get kicked out to boot, or switching to a subject you've loved since before you were 12 but weren't 'allowed' to go into by the parents (my father's a programmer; they thought I'd said I wanted that to copy him for approval, and that I'd learn to hate it; here I am at 31 and still loving it).... well, let's just say it's an easy choice ;)

Heh - a wise choice indeed... There's no point in wasting time on something that doesn't catch your interest!

Ultimatly wouldnt the pronuciation (thats wrong but im in brain melt down from reading the Exodus_dk/Forsythe debate) of Chitin realy depend on what language your comunicating in or what dialect there of.
eg, if its in english what form, English-British, English-American, English-Australian, English- New Zealand, English- "place here whatever other dialects".
So ultimatly its up to each individual to make their own decision based on their dialect or part there of.

Of course the exact pronounciation may vary from location ... what people was trying to determine was wether it was pronounced:
"Ki-tin", "Tji-tin" or "Shit-in" :)
And then things took a turn...

Hey, that's right, I never did cast my vote on the actual pronunciation.... I say it's "tee-hee" ;)
