Except Frances the Mute completely dominates over most other albums. I have a kind of a hate/love relationship with prog. There is so much shit in prog-rock that you might not even want to bother with it, self-absorded music for cock-polishing, but the expections make it all better.

I love me some Jethro Tull, olden-day King Crim, early-mid Dream Theater, a couple choice slices out of Yes's history, and exactly one album from Genesis (Selling England by the Pound).
Pink Floyd, by the way, isn't exactly what I'd call 'progressive'.

@dethtoll, glad to see someone hates The Mars Volta as much as me. I've tried to listen to every single album thinking I've missed something and all I hear is a confusing melange of sound, rhythm, and dis-jointed melody. It's probably the sound I would use to illustrate the term "un-music" (if I didn't already use Nick Fucking Cave to illustrate that). I know they're probably really edgy and I'm really old, but it just sounds like overrated shit to me.
