problems with the inquisition... shouldnt have shown up wearing their armour i guess.

i have a major problem with the inquisition. if you can help then PLEASE do!

Ive been playing morrowind fairly obsessively recently, and depite having my own tower and owning a guild, i have a serious problem.

i stumbled across a corpse with indoril armour, which was great as it was much a higher AC than the steel armour i was wearing and i was well trained in medium armour. nice.

next thing i know, i take a stroll into vivee, an ordinator comes up to me saying something like "where did you get that armour, its sacred. now you die..." and every ordinator is now trying to kill me! it really sucks as i cant really go around vivee without a butt load of invisibility potions or without just running for my life the whole time. can anyone suggest anything?

theres no bounty to pay, and theres no way of talking to them. ive tried taking the armour off and going to a different section of vivee, but aparently the word had already been spread as its the same everywhere. any help would be very much appreciated! tia

one last thought... has this happened to anyone else with a different type of armour.. for example, if you walked into an imperial fort with imperial armour on would t be the same?

This is a very annoying problem, but easily fixed with a plugin if you are on a PC. You should be able to find a fix for this on-line (or even make one of your own). Personally, I consider it a really nasty trick to make this kind of armor give you such a permenant curse without adequately warning the player. They really should have had a little message come up that says something like "You have equipped the sacred armor of the Ordinators, they will hunt you untill the day you die. Have a nice day" or something to let you know before you save your game. One of the first things I did when I started out was go to the Dren plantaion and steal Dren's Indoril helm. Then I put off going to Vivec for over a week so that it would be "special." It was more special than I had intended as I was rapidly squashed by a number of ordinators!

As far as I know, there is no way to clear your name or stop them from hunting you down, even if you remove the armor. Hopefully, you are on a PC and can get the plugin. If not, you can always start a collection of Indoril helms - one for every ordinator who tries to kill you!:cheeky:
