I can get the game to run from a boot in DOS but I have no sound. My sound card, as far as I can tell, does not support legacy programs (IT is an ESS 1898). I can't find DOS or WIN3x drivers for it anywere.
I can also get it to run in windows if I copy the entire CD to my HDD. The only exicutable that runs it is the uw.exe from the uw directory. It runs like a champ from here, good video, good sound, UNTIL you try to talk to someone. THen it kicks me out with an error code D012. The UW.bat from the CD won't run it from a DOS window in win 98. It also won't run from my HDD.
Ok, after that longwinded post... can anyone help me get this running from a WIN 98 dos box so I can have sound? What did you guys do to get it working (Do I need the disk version?)

Well, I installed the ZIPed version from this site on my HDD and it works fine. No problems ..... well one little one. I can only run in one direction in the water. If I turn around, I am stuck. I tried to copy my data files from my CD over. That didn't work either. I tried it from the DOS promt and window with no luck. It is not the mouse because keyboard commands do the same thing. It is also not the game because it worked on my computer at school -- oops, not suppost to be gaming on college time
