Haven't got it to run yet but... when I put in the
command line "Vesa Fix" and ran it i got this error message:
Error:Terra Nova has run out of memory trying to allocate 763203916
bytes. Crash Code: 4294967295. If this means anything to anyone who knows
the game i would appreciate any feedback whatsoever. I'd like to see this game work
after i've fretted so much over it and also have something to relate to in regards
to everyone here who hasd enjoyed it. I've downloaded the VESA fix and have tried
to attack the problem from many angles both in and outside of DOS mode. I'm hoping
that somone here will have some insight as to what corner of the game files i should
tweak or configure. My system specs are: CPU: Pentium2 400mhz
64 mb RAM, VooDoo 5500 video card
Ess 1869 Sound Card, Windows 98 SE, current free capacity on hard disk 3.55 GB .
Thats All i can think of right now. Thanks

My DOS skills are extremely rusty, and I've never heard of that "Vesa Fix" for Terra Nova- but I'm currently running the game on my system.
Specs:
AMD T-Bird 1.2
512Mb RAM
GeForce 4 Ti 4200 128Mb
AC'97 Onboard Sound (which to my surprise supports Soundblaster)
Win98 First Edition
I just pop that TN CD in there and cancel the auto-run screen. Then, I run the "_tn.bat" file from the Tnova folder and the game starts/runs just fine. All memory settings in my "_tn.bat" file are set to Auto.
Maybe it will work for you too?
Note: It's the "_tn.bat" file, not "Tn.bat".
Good luck to 'ya, it's an awesome game! :thumb:

I got it working but the sound doesn't work. I've seen on this board that this is a pretty
common thing with this game. I've gotten the info about finding DOS drivers for the SB
live but im having trouble finding them. thanks for your response last time Shadowcat.
Now all i have to do is find the drivers and see if they work. You were right about the
game. It is good. It could use a graphics upgrade though. It would be a killer sequel. All
the stuff they could put in it! Thanks
