Hello.
Everything worked just like it should and i haven't come across any problems ...until now... I tried to download that DDfix thingy and it ended up to screw everything. First i thought it works fine but when i was in game mode with DromEd and tried to write a command, that text i typed in was flashing all around in that black thin box. It was very hard to tell what i wrote there, so i just returned to editor mode. First i thought it would be that resolutions fault and went to cam.cfg to change it to bigger. Too bad that cam.cfg was GONE! (maybe Garrett took it?) Windows search tool couldn't find it, so i guess it's not there anymore. After all i ended up going into game mode again.. and this time i couldn't see anything but black screen, but hear all the sounds just like they should. At this point i decided that DDfix wasn't that good idea after all and i tried to uninstall it. Still the same effect. I tried to make new cam.cfg but nothing new happened.
Next i made copy of my FMs and uninstalled everything (DromEd and Thief2)
Then i reinstalled Thief 2 and it was 1.04 I tried to play but ofcourse dual processor killed it soon, next i tried to set that affinity, but it can't be done on 1.04 (for some reason i don't know, but it has always been like that so i wasn't worried about it). Then i updated Thief 2 to be 1.18 and tried again.
Even this time it didn't allow me to change it to one processor. At this point i got bad feelings, since it has always previously let me do so.
I tried (
http://www.thief-thecircle.com/guides/hyperthreading/) this permanent way to make it to be only one processor, like i did it last time too, but encountered some problems almost instantly
it tells me to unzip IMAGECFG to Windows\system32\ as well as Windows\system32\dllcache\.
too bad i can't find Windows\system32\dllcache\ since there is no folder called "dllcache".
I made my own dllcache folder there and continued. Nope, didn't work. Processor.bat tells only that it can't find Thief2.exe even when it's on same folder.
I tried this whole stuff twice, still not working though..
any suggestion
To clear up things a bit... Previously i had 2 Thief installations. One to play Thief 2 fms and other for Dromeding. That "FM thief2" had that permanent way, i just wrote about, set to it.
"DromEd thief2" didn't have it like that (i guess), it was permanently set to be only one with that DromEd 1.0 toolkit. And yeah, I uninstalled both thief 2s.
it's shame that now you have to wait my fm even longer :P

I am not expert(far from that), actually i am beginner. But i would advise to you to uninstall your thief 2, delete any remaining folder or file of game and reinstall it using tafferpatcher.
(

That is program that will install your thief 2, patch it and automatically make it running without cd and will install any fix that you choose including DDFIX, dual processor fix and bunch more fixes.
Setup is really easy it leads you step by step.
Only thing you have to have is Thief 2 CD1 and CD2
i have them in .iso format so thats how i installed them.
