I've picked up a scooma-item somewhere, and now some of the merchants won't barter with me.
They say that I should get rid of the item, but even if I drop they wont recognise that I don't have it anymore.
How can I fully get rid of this item - or is there someone I can sell it to ??

They have said that to me to about moon suger droping it should work. Try leaveing the shop and droping it.

You need to drop all skooma potions and all moon sugar. Or try talking with some kajiit merchants instead and there are some traders in Telvanni towns that will buy skooma and moon sugar too.

Hehe, yeah, its pretty goofy, but actually, you don't even need to leave the shop. Just drop it on the floor right in front of the merchant and he'll then barter with you. Then you can pick it up again before you leave.
And the others are right, there are merchants here and there that *will* buy skooma and moon sugar, you just have to find them. I typically sell mine to Ra'Virr the Trader in Balmora. :)

Or, if you're me, leave over 8 grand in drugs on the floor in from of him, and never find out where you left them :erm:

Anyone else think that they maybe should have made skooma have more of a lasting effect, like maybe a damage to some of your attribuites/skills. Right now it's just like a combat beserker drink. And eating moonsugar is perfectly fine for you, in fact benificial.

Skooma and Creeper makes for lots of EASY money early in the game.
You can usually get 2-4 bottles in the Smugglers lair outside Seyda Neen

As my main source of revenue, I was gutted when I "mislaid" it and almost ran out of funds.
It's silly really, just dropping the stuff should not be enough. You should have to atleast drop it somewhere out of sight.
But then I guess if they really made it a realistic system, it would have to only allow you to sell and buy back an item once in a given day/hour. I mean if you went to the market and sold the trader a gold watch, and then bought it off him again, and then sold it to him again etc. making money on each trade, he'd tell you to sod off.
