Has anyone else had this problem? I'm playing with the Stalker Skies weather, and my lighting/time is screwed up, it seems. For one thing, it's still fairly bright at 8pm, and the sun seems to rise around 4am - there isn't much actual dawn or dusk. However, that's less of a problem. What has happened now is that I crossed over from one sector to the next, and suddenly it was bright and sunny at 1am in the morning.
Is there any way to reset this, or is my game stuck in a day/night rhythm? (Yes, I know - I should have played STALKER without mods the first time.)
In any case, it took me a while to get into the game, but now that I'm used to the gameplay it's one of the most fascinating, most atmospheric games I've played pretty much since Deus Ex. (But I hate the zombiefied stalkers!)

Why, they are slooooooow. Don't know about the mod, maybe it should be installed on 1.0003 only..

If it was only the zombies and myself, I'd be cool with that. But I've just reached the scientific outpost and am supposed to protect the guy who should measure... something. The moment I open the door to the outside, there are roughly six or seven well armed zombies, and they're surprisingly good at aiming. Even when going for headshoots, I only manage to get four or five of them before they kill the scientist. Bloody escort missions... :grr:
When does the sun set and rise in the unmodded game?

That's where I hung up the game and walked away. Die, reload, die, reload. Die, reload. This is fun.

Lower difficulty in the menu if you absolutely can't handle the situation, it may help, then you can return it back.

I think it's about 9-10PM, 5-6AM

I'm quite sure that shortly after 4am you start seeing some sunlight.
As for the zombies problem, maybe the best solution is to run closer to them, so that they pick you as their target instead of Kruglov. Although there shouldn't be six or seven zombies right outside the mobile lab, only two or three is what I usually see. Six or seven is the number of zombies that I usually find near the measurement site, but I normally run far ahead of Kruglov and manage to take them all down before he arrives.

Thanks for the tips. I'll definitely try the run&gun approach to keep Kruglov safe.

Sometimes pre-clearing the escort path helps too - more will spawn once the mission is accepted but it should be manageable at that point. Also, what weapon are you using?
Hit them with grenades?

They may be slow, but they know how to aim. :erg:
