I can´t rescue Varvur Sarethi. If I kill the guards he won´t come with me. If I don´t, he is killed before leaving the manor. I´ve tried many times. What can I do? Thanks for the help.

Hmmm.....killing the guards shouldn't stop him from going with you...did you kill them before you asked him to follow you out, or while he was actually with you?

*nod* You might just not be taking out the guards fast enough, and Varvur's getting his foolish self in the way; it should be okay to kill 'em either before or after, but if you do it before you really ought to get them to attack you via taunting them or a 'frenzy humanoid'-type spell.

Hi! I killed them after I asked but then I have to make him wait for me to avoid being killed and when I return, he won´t speak to me, so I can´t make him follow me. Is there any way to protect him while I kill the guards? I´m level 20, so they aren´t a problem mas they kill him. Is there a spell for NP characters?
Thanks!

I'd reccomend either taking them out before you walk with him (use the aforementioned taunting, or a 'frenzy humanoid' spell) or blitzing them with your most powerful melee attack before Varvur can get involved. If your char isn't a melee'er (like if you prefer to run and snipe at guards w/ a bow), then I'd say you'd best forget trying to get 'em while he's with you.

Thanks people. I´ll try the taunting way but how can I do it? If I approach the guards whidout him, everybody is very friendly! Is there a spell?

You can buy a 'frenzy humanoid' spell, or you can use the 'persuasion' thing at the top of their topic list when you talk to them. One of the persuasion options is 'taunt'.

Taunting: Talk to them, then select 'Persuade' and 'Taunt'; the AI will attack after 3 or so successes. If they get too low of an attitude towards you, you can't Taunt them, so bribe them up and then Taunt again.
A spell: Purchase a 'frenzy humanoid' spell (search on here; I posted some locations awhile back), go to a spellmaker/spellcrafter/whatever and get a 70 or 80 point variety of it that lasts like 3-5 seconds. Cast on the NPC in question. If it doesn't work, something that might work is to taunt them a little to get their disposition down below the strength of the spell and then cast it again.

Thanks!!!!!!
The taunting did the trick! They attacked me and I had to defend myself!
I´m now on my merry way to the next quest! See you!
