i tried OpenGl, but it screwed up and crashed on me. i tried the other one, 3dfx is it? it worked, but only in a window. the environemental textures were kinda bad too, but i guess it's the best possible.
playing in a window kinda takes away from the mood though.

Try switching the World Texture Detail down a notch, this sometimes helps where the screen screws up into unlit areas then crashes (but with still functional audio).
