I battled my way through Indoranyon stronghold and when I got to the end there was Qorwynn, everything at Indoranyon attacked me. Qorwynn is the enchantment secret mater and I was happy to find him. The only problem: He, too, attacked me. I cannot train my enchanting if I am forced to kill him!! I reverted to a saved game and thought I would get some info on this. Does anyone know how to prevent NPCs from attacking or why he is attacking and what I can do to make him stop? :(

I believe he has to be charmed/calmed first with a suitable spell

*nods to Ania* Calm is good, charm is less good. Another way as good as calm is to use an invis or camoflage spell effect to talk to him w/out him attacking. The trick is that, once you're talking to him, you need to bribe/admine him up to 100%; NPCs that like you 100% will not attack.
(The reason charm isn't as good is because it eventually wears off, lowering his disposition below 100%)

How can you talk to people invisibly or camouflaged?
When i try that, I only get a "Huh?" reaction from then and I am not able to use the dialogue options- just the goodbye.

You can't talk to someone you can't see.

What I meant was to invis/camo until you get next to 'im, and then rapidly drop it and talk to him; there's a good second or three buffer between when NPCs notice you and then attack you.
