My problem is regarding Thief 1(Non gold) in the Sold out Software bundle.
The intro movie plays fine. However when I get to the main menu I can hear the menu sounds but then the screen blacks out immediately and I get the generic "windows has encountered a problem" message.
I have tried the following methods to no avail:
Dual Core Fix
Consulting the FAQ
Searching the Forums
Using a fixed .exe
Compatibility mode
Installing the game with the lgntforce parameters

EDIT: Finally got it to work, what I had to do was not change the installation path (keep it at the default of C:\games). Man, am I kicking myself for not trying this before.
