I put Win7 64-bit on my PC a few weeks ago and while System Shock 2 runs perfectly fine, alas, the videos no longer work. I've tried the suggestions I could find here on TTLG and (probably most importantly) here:

...and still have had no luck. The registration of LGVID.AX and ir50_32.dll appeared to go fine. The installation of the indeo codec went fine, and the movies play with no problem through Media Player Classic and Windows Media Player.
The System Shock 2 is my own, so it contains the original movies. The only shortcut I've done is to simply copy over the installed folder from my XP machine, rather than go through the process of reinstalling the game, the patch, noCD patch, multicore/affinity CPU fix, then the widescreen and texture fixes. I am not using any other mods.
Any ideas? It isn't the biggest deal since the game runs fine, but it is irritating nonetheless.
Take care,

An update: I installed my Thief from the CD and did all the fixes manually, and its movies worked. So I did the same for SS2, and now it's fine.
Peculiar, but I'm not going to worry about it.

HM, I'm about to do the same, but doesn't SSTool apply all those patches and whatnots?

I was still using the install.cfg from my old install, and the file/folder locations were not the same anymore. I didn't use sstool (I run the ddfix and the widescreen patch separately), so I don't know if that program would redo one's install.cfg.
Anyway, the install.cfg was clearly looking in the wrong folder for the movies, so when I reinstalled, the paths were correct. If I had figured this out earlier, I could've manually changed the file rather than reinstall.

On my XP install and after all the patching etc my install.cfg looks like this
cd_path L:\
install_path .
language english
resname_base RES
load_path .
script_module_path .
movie_path cutscenes
I don't remember if that was done manually via a posted recommendation or by one of the mds, but it worked fine.

SS2Tool changes your install.cfg for you.
