Problem: Odd Zoning/Zones not working. - by Ziemanskye

Hit this weird, and framerate crippling problem today:
I can't zone a room. It just wont divide up, and in moving the room into it's final position, it also extended it's own zone into other rooms.

http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/3474/problemzoning6bs.th.jpgWhat's really annoying is that the zones it's engulfed are separated from it - one by a doorway between them that has it's own zone, the other two are in a room directly below it, with absolutely no direct access.
I haven't ran out of zones (I can add them elsewhere no problem). Also, the problem isn't just matching colours in zone/portal view, since A) they always match after recompiling, and B) the flesh wireframe can see everything in the subsumed zones (even the ones downstairs), which isn't good.

Hrm. Not much to contribute here, but if I understand the photo, I would make sure to look for any micro sized brush error, misalignment, connections, holes etc, in the rooms separated by the doorway. There's gotta be a way they are bleeding together. Or sequentially push their brush orders to the end; maybe something's up with the ordering.

still no idea what went wrong, but I rebrushed the rooms and it works fine now.

Frame-rate is a little high, so I'll tweak the particles a bit, maybe remove a light or two (so long as it doesn't look too bad after). Or I might just leave it, since it's on the edge of what I'm considering acceptable limits.
Thanks anyway Sneaksie.
