Hi :)
I built the architecture of a small mission, and to there everything is well.
But now I can not enter any more in game mode.
Now it is impossible for me to add a new room. When I am in the editor everything works well but T3ed refuses to open me mode game to test my mission. I well have the screen of load which displays but at the time of opening game, application returns to editor mode. I have no error message and when I open my file " Log " I do not see anything of strange concerning this problem.
Here is a part of report of the Log if that can help :
Log: Found 12 zones
Log: Polys: 408 -> 408
Log: Nodes: 1644 -> 790
Log: Points: 1434 -> 1289
Log: Vectors: 98 -> 98
Log: Vertex stream 0: 6479 -> 3114
Log: bspBuildBounds: Generated 370 bounds, 4285 hulls
Log: BuildZoneInfo: 0 ZoneInfo actors, 0 duplicates, 0 zoneless
Log: Portalized: 159 portals, 22 zone portals (24 fragments), 117 leaves, 790 nodes
Log: MergeNearPoints merged 0/1289, collapsed 0
Log: Polys: 408 -> 408
Log: Nodes: 790 -> 790
Log: Points: 1289 -> 1289
Log: Vectors: 98 -> 98
Log: Vertex stream 0: 3114 -> 3114
Log: Processed 525 T-points, linked: 3727/3749 sides
Log: Polys: 408 -> 408
Log: Nodes: 790 -> 790
Log: Points: 1289 -> 1289
Log: Vectors: 98 -> 98
Log: Vertex stream 0: 6953 -> 3749
Log: Allocating 16384 byte dynamic index buffer.
There are some "warning***" too (the list is long), and I don't understand what it means like exemple :
Warning: Final NavMesh size: 327368 bytes (170780 bytes for nodes, 156588 bytes for links)
I dont know what is it but that seems me really not good... :rolleyes:
I reconstructed and added some " navmesh " (thinking that it was maybe Computpathfind's problem) but it is similar.
When I open an original mission I notice that it is much more complex than mine.
I am a newbie and I had certainly to make something wrong but I don't know what.
Could you help me?
Say me if you need more informations of the Log.
Thank you in advance.

I'm having the same problem. Could you please find the file called T3Main.log (I think) in your Documents folder and post here the first few lines? There should be a reference to an error that may be helpful.
See my thread on Static Buffer Vertex Error.

Ok, I write here a part of errors in my folder T3main.log, I hope that help you.
I see that I have the same error as you (I put it in bold) but which is meaning?

I see there are lot of errors in my level, geometrie errors, staticmesh errors, etc, ...pffff.
Oh my God :erm:
nomad of the pacific on 23/3/2005 at 14:07
I had a lot of the other errors, too. I just didn't post them. :p That last one is the one that's killing us! I still haven't found a way to fix it. :(
SneaksieDave on 23/3/2005 at 17:34
Nomad, do you also get the "Geometry is non-convex!" error (at the top of the log)? That is quite telling. None of the brushes should be non-convex (unless they're now handling that and I am unaware). That could be the start and cause of the whole problem. Good on posting the log, a dev might have an idea from it.
OrbWeaver on 23/3/2005 at 17:45
Interesting that all the other errors occured before the Static Vertex error. Perhaps the error is in fact second-level damage caused by something else - incorrect BSP geometry, a particular mesh, a particular skin, etc.
gaetane on 23/3/2005 at 18:31
When I add brushs everything works fine but when I add meshs (or lights)...Crash!
The problem would come perhaps from Meshs or Pathlink ?
What means "Geometry "exactly ? Only brushs or also the meshs are concerned?
I think to understand Meshs can be considered more or less as the brushs?
:(
SneaksieDave on 23/3/2005 at 18:45
Geometry is the brushwork for the map. Somewhere a brush is in error, it sounds like. Did you use vertex editing mode? Freehand polygon mode? In the dozen or so times I've used it so far, it created a twisted brush for me twice, so it's not without problems. Did you use brush scaling? Clipping? Are you able to do Tools -> Report off-grid BSP brushes?
Just some ideas.
gaetane on 23/3/2005 at 20:15
I use the Vertex editing mode for re-scale or transform my brushes and sometime t2 editor, but for to create simple forms only.
And I use the Report off-grid BSP brushes regulary.
My grid is to 16 and ever active.
Thank to try help me :)

So many errors! :(
BTW, I also use the Off-grid BSP tool often. And I do have a BSP that has been Clipped extensively. I'll try deleting it, but I think the vertices and edge errors are caused by bad static meshes. I'll try to find them, too.
