probably a stupid question for you vets but...

just loaded DX after years of not having a powerful enough computer. I seem two have 2 problems
1. detaching from ladders
2. getting stuck in crouch position

Are these known problems??
Is there a patch to fix this that is'nt too large (I'm only 56k)

Are you finding yourself glued to ladders permanantly, or are you just having trouble getting off?

As for crouching, is crouch toggle turned on? (Check the control options)

IM JUST HAVING TROUBLE GETTING OFF THEM.
AND CROUCH TOGGLE IS ON i'VE TRIED IT OFF, i'VE TRIED RE-BINDING NOTHING WORKS - i AM STUCK IN A CROUCHING POSITION - THE ONLY THING THAT WORKS IS AUTOSAVING BEFORE I CROUCH SO THAT IF I DO GET STUCK I CAN JUST RELOAD GAME.

Looks to me like someone didn't notice the Caps-lock light was lit up. ;) But I always had trouble getting off ladders, always have and probably always will. I used to curse Dark engine ladders, but now I bow before them. At least I can used them without <i>dying</i> every fucking time. :p:nono::mad:

SORRY :( - I wasn't frustrated but did have caps lock on. Is that generaly used to signify indignance???? how silly of me I promise it will never happen again( this is not sarcasm I swear) I love this site etc...
And as for the dark engine I never have trouble with thief its just DX.
Anyway is there a patch that might work???

Deus Ex does not use the Dark Engine/Dromed. Oh and all caps means your yelling. ;)

Deus Ex uses a modified Unreal Tournament engine. Oh and "your" doesn't mean "you are". ;)
