Has this come out in the UK? I don't see it on play.com and I've never heard of it coming to the cinemas.
And I've been seeing and hearing some VERY good things about it.
I'm looking forwards to it. Anyone else? Has anyone seen it?

It's intentionally inscrutable to the point of obnoxiousness. That it's really fucking cool anyway despite this flaw is frustrating. I kind of want to own a copy of it, but I'd have to growl at the box from time to time just so it doesn't get too comfy on my shelf.

What, <A HREF="http://imdb.com/title/tt0390384/">this</A>?

Screwed up, strange, and scarily believable story. Saw it last October. The film takes a totally unbelievable premise and, through the stumbling brilliance of the protagonists, makes you think it's possible. Yeah, it pisses you off because you try so hard to keep up and inevitably get lost, but so do the protagonists, so you're not alone.
Definitely worth a look-see.

I thought this was a Judas Priest album. Confirm/Deny.

Deny. No mention whatsoever of "Green Manalishi" or "Desert Plains."
Pity. :(

The original and superior version of Green Manalishi is by Fleetwood Mack (the Peter Green era, not the sucky one). Green also did the original "Black Magic Woman" but Santana's is awesome as well.

I beg to differ. Don't like the Fleetwood Mac version. Never did. :thumb:

Blasphemer!
At least you name-check 70s Priest, which is much better than 80s Priest that inexplicably gets radio play instead of their earlier stuff. Priest had a bigger drop in quality during 80s than AC/DC (not entirely the bands' fault as much as Bon hitting the bottle way way too hard), but not quite as severe as Yes (Owner of a Lonely Heart sounds like an attempt to cleanse themselves of everything that was good in them). I'm hard pressed to think of a band somewhat succesful in the seventies that DIDN'T get suckier in the 80s (not releasing anything doesn't count). The best thing you can say about most of them is "at least it's not hair metal". That's one reason why "I Love the 80s" would have been better titled "I Love to Hate the 80s", which I watch for the same perverse reason that I watch Lou Dobbs. Part of my brain is telling me its cathartic while another part whispers that its just ensuring that I'm more and more hooked on rageahol. The last part regulates most automatic organ activity.
