Red alert. We are now dealing with someone who posts links to their own hard drive.
If these links do go to my hard drive, that was not the intention.
These are the videos Showing how the AI is weak in this game. I captured the video with the xbox software that's included with windows, and I copied and pasted the file into the url video box on this site. If you open the link in a different tab, it just the video itself.
Does this lead to my hard drive? If it does then i messed up.

And he won't even realize it until next year sometime.
Whatever.

AI typically don't hear footsteps on stone or wood (even when running). They'll hear you on gravel, tile, glass or in shallow water, but typically not wood or stone, unless you land on it from above (or if the AI's perception has been turned up).
Yes, this is a little silly, but no it doesn't sound like a bug. Years back, there was the “ultimate difficulty mod” to make it a little more challenging, but unfortunately it isn't compatible with NewDark.
Alright, thanks for the help. Game kind of bugs out a bit sometimes. I was in the basement at the bank level where there are no guards, but when i loaded the save again, there are two guards down there with me.

Yeah, those links go to your hard drive, so only you can see them. They show up in another tab for you because they exist on your PC in your user folder. You will need to upload them somewhere to the internet to be able to share them with us. If you have a Youtube account for example, that would work.

Apparently this is some new meaning of "not noticing" that includes shooting you full of arrows.
And those are clearly cobblestones, not concrete.

I'm guessing that you played The Dark Mod first and now you decided to play old Thief. Well, Thief games has a lot more leeway. Guards are less sensitive and hearing your footsteps isn't enough for them to go into search mode. As for knockouts - if you encounter these kind of groups of enemies in later mission (for example last mission - Soulforge), rest of enemies will go into search mode and attack you. So sensitivity of enemies is rising, but never to the extreme level of TDM.

Uh, guards hearing the player walk on metal or tile will absolutely send them into search mode. If it didn't, the footstep sound system would be pointless.

Alright, here are the videos. Sorry for the amateur move.
Those look OK. That's exactly how the game plays.
In the first video, you could do that same thing on any surface besides marble, metal or gravel. But concrete, wood, grass, stone, they will not detect you.
In the 2nd video, it's not so much that that they don't see you in full light, in more about how far away they are from you. Nobody will be able to spot you from a long distance.

I meant footsteps on the stone floor like it was shown on the video.
