I've always wondered how people get nice photos of the moon like Zerker's shot above. Every time I try, I get a little while globby blur that ain't good for much of anything.
Well, better late than never. Tonight I went out and took a few shots of that old church I've been wanting to shoot for about forever now. I had a nice mostly full moon to work with, a perfectly clear sky, and a sodium arc night light that drowned the whole picture in orange. Even doing the HDR thing, I still had to go black and white to get it to come out halfway decent.

A considerably brighter shot than my old attempts at it. Usually I get one side washed in light, and the rest in deep shadows. (

Wonderful, as always. :) That colour shot has a real painterly quality about it. Your next step, of course, is to invest in a film setup :D

They definitely look better small, and against the dark background, and with contrast adjustment. It was just one hobby I didn't have my hands in at all; had to do
something about that ;)
