Hello there,
I plan on doing a speedrun of the cradle. So far, I think I have solved a lot in the outer cradle part (except for forgetting to flush Lauryls blood and activating the fuse, and stuff), but for the inner cradle, I am still unsure about the strategy.
One key element involves NOT doing thee diary and the dissolution serum while in the "normal" past, but using the cell in the outer cradle for a smoother run (no risk getting sent back into the present). Most loot can be collected in the past as well as the present, except for the surgical tools, so I have to take those while I am in the past.
So far, I have the following "plan":
- Enter the inner cradle and immediately head over the desk and into the lobotomy room / theatre to get the surgical tools.
- Rush back to the astronomy tower, pick the jewels and use the ventilation to get to the white hall.
- Pick the 4 doors that have loot in them, as well as Lauryls nightgown.
- Go to the elevator to the seclusion chamber and call the lift
- Head to the other side of the corridor which leads to the treatment rooms, and jump down the lift to the morgue.
- Burn the nightgown, get the golden teeth
- Head back to white hall, get into the seclusion chamber and get the loot
- Pick the forks and go into the past using the kitchen plate <--- Important to activate the cage early.
- Immediately head into the outer cradle (probably getting caught while doing so), into the basement, into the cell
- Head back and find the dissolution serum, as well as one piece of loot (second treatment room)
- Go into the nursery tower (flashbombs blazing :cheeky: ) by jumping over the "counter", without picking the door lock)
- (Also getting one piece of loot while doing so)
- Fall down the elevator and burn the diary
- Run to the cellar
- And the rest as usual, when finishing the level
Thoughts? I am still thinking that the detour to the lobotomy room right at the beginning of the inner cradle is a fucking waste of time.

good luck i haven't played thief 3 in a long time now, but from what i remember, hitting all those inmates rooms to get those items is slow, destroying all those items for laurel is slow, movement is slow, but good news the enemy's are slow also, the elevator is slow also, only 1 loading zone though, put a video on it so i can see how you did
and yes kitchen item is fastest from what i remember
