So people who want them can get them? I'm guessing you're bitter because your mother never had the choice.
I was asking Fafhrd, and people who want them now seem to be able to get them just fine.

I admit to being somewhat confused that the Republicans are really, really concerned about "raising the debt." Where were they for the last 8 years?
Seriously, it bugs me how rarely they are confronted with their hypocrisy. You thought the money for the F-22 program grew on trees?
They aren't confronted by their hypocrisy? Seriously, there's a reason why the Senate, House, and Presidency are all controlled by Democrats.
That hypocrisy why the Republican party is so marginalized right now. You can count on the fact that once elected, they will betray every ideal they espouse except for being anti-abortion and anti-gay marriage. There's simply no reason for a conservative voter to actually vote when he knows that both parties are going to continue the same wasteful, corrupt style of government that seems dominant lately.
for example, neither party (despite Republican's cries about intrusive government and Democratic shrieks about protecting civil liberties) seems to have a problem with the Patriot Act or the CIA's rendition programs as long as they are the ones in charge.

You know whats weird? When I glance over the words 'anti-abortion' and anti gay marriage' next to each other for some reason my brain reconstructs them as 'vampire'.
So what about vampires?

And being from Canadia, you care precisely why, mr. Trolly McTrollerson?
What the fuck are you on about? I live in Bentonville, Arkansas, home to Wal-Mart, the number one abuser of group insurance loopholes, and one of the biggest Medicare-dependent states. I'm also on Medicare myself, so I care a whole fucking lot about it. And where the hell is Canadia?

Well, that's what we're talking about - the possibility that said people who can get them "just fine" right now will have more trouble as private insurers drop coverage due to changes in the health care system.

Well, whats your problem with gay vampires?
Even gay vampires need health insurance too! Besides, with all the insurance companies that won't cover older people, its hard for 150 year old vampires to get health coverage these days.
A public option will fix this, as long as the Republicans don't sneak in an amendment banning vampires from signing up on the public option.

im not going to read this thread but i have skimmed it for key words and the main difference between public funded medicine and F-22s is that F-22s are built for bombing brown insurgent savages back beyond the stone age from distances farther than the sound of the explosion can travel, which i think we can all agree is awesome, and socialist health systems enable fat pasty basement dwellers with an underdeveloped sense of community and morality and a massively overinflated sense of entitlement to continue to suckle the teat of a government gone mammy and tie up emergency rooms and doctors with claims of stubbed toes, skin tags and adult onset diabetes while being able to bill you out of half your paycheque for it and not left to die alone and penniless in the gutter like any civilized society would let happen
but cool thread otherwise bros

Actually sophisticated, intellectual metro vampires seem to be the trend nowadays.

They don't, silly, they self-regenerate. Unless decapitated, of course, but even the best insurance can't fix that.
