After browsing these chatrooms for a while I came up with a few questions I would like to ask.
1) How do you build a castle? I've built a stronghold near Ald-Ruhn but I've heard that there are other structures, like a castle, can be built.
2) How do you shapeshift into werewolves or vampires or things like that?
Anyhelp on either of those would be very much appriciated. It doesn't matter which one you answer as long as you could help me out on one.
Thanks for your time!

1). Castles can be built in the TESCS assuming you have the bought PC version. Instructions on how to make plugins with castles etc will be provided nicely by a later poster who isn't too lazy to get a link. Or you can download other's mods from sites like (
www.gamersroam.com)
(
http://til.gamingsource.co.uk/vampires) Vampire guide here Go to "vampires in Vvardenfall"
(for bloodmoon expansion only)To become a werewolf catch Sanies Lupinus much like with vampirism. But the easiest way to get it is on the main quest in BM where you catch it at a scripted point and you can choose to cure it...or not;)
Also, if you follow on the main quest to the end you will get a ring to turn you into the werewolf at will
Both of these will make you feel like a god but have its own downside.

Downside?
Who's Sanies Lupes, or whatever the name was?

Well, as a vampire, you will be very weak to fire(watch out for dremora lords), you will lose 5 health per second out in day, unless reduced by it being dawn or dusk 6-8am/pm, anything but fine weather or being underwater. Those reduce damage but do not remove it; everyone who isn't a mage, socerer, in the mages guild or in house telivanni won't talk to you and no one but vampires of your own clan will serve you and you must earn the service of you clan too.
As a werewolf, EVERYONE will attack you, every night you will change and if anyone sees you then everyone will know you are a werewolf and attack you in day as well so you must always watch the time. and you must feed of human(NPC) blood in an hour of becoming a werewolf or you will lose health every hour. And you can not use your inventory, spells, pick or use up items. You can also only attack with your claws and silver weapons will to DOUBLE damage.(read the BM manual for this stuff)
Sanies Lupinus is the disease you catch to become a werewolf(basically the MW name for lyconthopy(sp)), the disease can be cured within 3 days or left uncured in which case you will transform on the night of the 3rd day like vampirism.

Well that sucks. but I guess it's better than just being a plain old dark elf, I mean, I'm pretty much a bloodthirsty freak to begin with anyways. :ebil:

You can get cured of vampirism, so it may be worth a try. I'm planning to turn into one soon.

Just became a Vampire myself... it's pretty cool with all the bonuses I've gotten (went around beating the crap out of everything, upping my hand-to-hand score).
Went up a level or two just trying to catch it though, my character is already immune to things as is, did wonders for my "block" skill though, sat there and let this vampire beat on me with his little dagger :D

All my characters end up as a vampire sometime. I turned my theif character into one today, so it now has 180 sneak(60 from clan Berne vampire, 20 from deceit glove and had 100 orginially) so now I can critical hit anything which means I kill dremora lords and atronachs before they see me. It is a dark elf so the fire weakness gets cancelled out. And it was crappy at magic and now is quite good. Not to mention it has 120 strength, speed and agility. And who really needs fast travel when you have 150 acrobatics and 120 speed?
btw. You can catch the disease off their corpse, so you don't need to fight them, just keep touching their corpse over and over again.

I tried touching the bodies once I killed them, didn't seem to work out for me... but since I was able to keep up a good health level (and I wear heavy armor) I easily could just stand there and let the punk hit on me with a dagger (till the stupid thing broke, then I had to kill 'em ;) )
The Stat boosts are pretty sweet, haven't moved so fast in ages.... and the extra strenght makes me even more of a tank than I was.
Might be fun to keep the character around in the form of a saved game (saved just before I get cured).... then start wiping out everyone on the island.... :ebil:

The lack of fast travel is sort of fun, I have my mark set in Caldera so I can teleport to Ald ruhn or balmora from there and I have the Berne amulet so I can teleport to Molag mar or palagiad or walk to Uvirith's grave and teleport to Sadrith mora. And it is just fun having to walk to anywhere more out of the way.
