I've recently discovered that a careful proportion of fried eggs on top of a pile of hash browns and onions smothered with ketchup is possibly the perfect food for my body. It might sound like something that would make you feel terrible, since its pretty greasy and rich but something about it just makes my body happy. However, after I eat it I have a burst of energy and if I was chilled before I become toasty warm and comfortable. It just feels so right.
So I thought, what other foods do people have specific to them that just work? There are not a lot of things like this that I really notice over good food in general (and I eat a lot "better" food that doesn't feel nearly as good). I think everyone processes things differently and therefore are better served by different foods, but we often tend to all end up eating more or less the same stuff to our detriment (often knowingly).
Anyone else ever feel like this?

Grapes do wonders for me.

Living mixes fresh from my juicer.
No matter how jaded I feel after a night of debauchery or a day of servitude a few carrots and some broccoli along with some celery, apples and radish thrown in always gets me going.
If I get the mix just right I get a pleasant sort of electric buzzing in my ears and can barely resist the urge to do cock pushups with no hands.

Haha. I knew someone would mention real juice. I've known that for a while but have never bothered to get a juicer, not really sure why. I really should though. Specially considering that during the spring/summer/fall I have free access to about as much organic fresh vegetables as I can eat (and I do, just don't juice em).

Cheeses. Gouda, Brie, Pepper Jack, White Stilton with cranberries- any kind.

I have longtime weakness for potato chips but I try to limit them. Instead I rediscovered the awesomeness of popcorn. Also I love all sorts of fruit juices.
And fruits in general are great.

A slight modification of Bear's recipe: three fried eggs on top of a plate full of baked beans in chilli sauce plus some roasted bacon. With lots of cheese that melts nicely on top of it.
Note, it works as power food in the long run: wolfing down the whole lot immobilizes you for at least an hour. I swear I can literally feel cholesterol clogging up my arteries now.

picklesIn Australia they have deep-fried mars bars. Yep.
But more to the point, the food that makes me feel amazing is gold, tastes like cactus and comes in a bottle!
