Just as a curiosity... would it be possible to make it like it was in the first UBB version that we had, so we don't need to log in to post but just need to input username & password on the posting screen? (And log in if you want to edit your profile etc.)
I ask because often I visit the forums from my university's computer room, and often I don't log in & post even if I have something to say because I don't have time to do the login/post/logout process and/or I don't feel safe in potentially leaving a cookie with my username & password on a public computer (the connection here is flaky at best, and the computers aren't very stable)...
I think I'm not the only one in this situation, so I'm asking. Can it be done? Yes/no/why?

Could you not just delete your cookies as you leave? It's what I do when not on my own computer.

Yeah, I know I can delete cookies, that's what I usually do if I browse TTLG on a computer that's not mine... Problem is that it's often very difficult, because as I said the connection here is flaky at best and the computers crash if you so much as look at them wrong, and sometimes there is no time to wait for the computer to reboot so I can delete the cookies because I have to hurry to class...
Oh well. If it can't be done, I'll just have to keep being careful and only log in from university when I know I have a lot of time and I can wait and delete the cookies manually. No big deal. :)

Bump, I want to be able to use the basic common functions of the board cookieless, too.
