It is not worthless in any assumption. I was merely wondering if people were experiencing similar post-college experiences as myself. I admit that I have not tried super hard to go out and get a job in my field, but "my field of study" leaves some employers confused. My degree is in Interdisciplinary arts and sciences (a bachelors of arts degree), concentration in art, media, & culture, and a minor in Public History. Soooo...What do you do with that? I went to a couple of job fairs and found that the only people interested in my degree were the cops, the military, and the GSA. I've already done the military thing so that is right out. Don't care much for taking away people's freedoms, so being a cop is right out. I wouldn't mind working for the GSA but my wife is very attached to her job and does not want to move. I did get an interview with a photography studio and they wanted to hire me, but they sucked. I've been looking at museum jobs but I don't have a masters or Ph.D. so that's almost impossible. So since I have been a bicycle mechanic/saleman for fourteen years now I applied to a distributor and a manufacturer just recently, so I may end up in the same industry. I guess that is not a bad thing as I do like bikes still. Anyway off to work.

You certainly minored in paragraphs!
As for me, while I don't have a degree I do have an HND in Electrical & Electronic Engineering and I work as the Lead Developer for a Design Studio which involves absolutely nothing to do with it in the slightest.

First semester Junior year (last semester) and I was offered a very lucrative summer internship position as a software engineer. Rumor has it they hire nearly all their interns....I won't vote on this poll just yet;)

But you did start off working in electronics though, right? Or am I remembering wrong?

My current job first started when I was fascinated by 3D visualizations while in High School. My father knew someone from the Industry (Lead Animator at Cosgrove Hall) and he was impressed with my work. I undertook an apprenticeship and my career took off from there.
I left high-school at 16 with only four qualifications in Maths, Science, English and History. Didn't go to college or University.
I'm now in full time work as an animator and 3D visualizer, doing private clientel work and work for businesses...
...and I love it. :)

I did, but the qualification was done while I was employed there, so I guess it is different.

My sister graduated about 6 months ago with a degree in studio art and music performance. No job yet (of course) though she has been very busy auditioning for orchestras and doing art commissions.
