I believe the discussion about conversions started here:
(

But I'm not sure where the exact post mentioning the successful build of Bafford's is. Anyone know? I'll keep looking. It's not a playable level AFAIK, it was just to show the size limit doesn't exist - it was done in the original game for memory constraints of the eKsb0x.
Edit: No luck yet.. anyone? It was quoted and quoted again several times that there is "no 7 mb limit." Damnit. It wasn't a dream. Auntie Em, there's no place like home!

Ah, thank you. I swear, I must have run a search on "Bafford" posted by "David" ten times and it gave me "Sorry, no results match...". Anyway, glad I wasn't imagining it.
Now, I just doubled my map and copied some stuff around to make one that's 8.5 Mb and it runs without problem. However when I doubled that, I did get a crash. That's troubling. It IS possible, that since they weren't going to go over a particular size for ZBrick, they didn't waste memory on huge, "won't ever be needed" data structures. But let's hope not. Now it seems most of the maps from the game are actually around 4.5mb. So that's half the size of one I have running here. So, it can handle double OM zone size, and then figure you can link as many of them together as you want for a single "mission", and there's some real potential for huge-ness there. Editing with 8.5 Mb in the editor seems a bit unweildy anyway - everything takes forever to do (probably sorting through huge lists for every select/add/delete/move, etc). I hope I don't need a zone, but if I do, I'll do everything in my power to put it in a nonobtrusive spot (WITHOUT blue fog).

Then I'm sorry, I was told a few times that missions couldn't be more than 7mb.
Then again, the difficulties when editing files above 10Mb (slowdowns, crashes etc.) can be hindrance. It's not enough to chech if big mission file can be loaded or not, more important is if it's possible to work with it without much headache.
