Just curious, why do you want such an old version of DDFix?
malau on 23/11/2010 at 04:44
Because it might work.
EDIT - just tried it.
For me, it crashed in the same place (when it loads the OM and tries to go to game). It didn't even bother to correct the aspect ratio like the newer DDFIXes do, it just stretched the game across the entire screen.
Oh well.

Hmm, I'm using catalyst 10.9, and thief and thief 2 run fine.

I don't know what 10.9 is ? Is it for 7 or Vista ?
The latest version for me (x64) is 10.11
I have Win7, but i'm not going to install it for the sake of DDFIX. X64 is so much faster than 7 and uses much less memory, and has less compatibility issues - I can live without DirectX11.

Windows 7 Professional x64 here, CCC 10.9
I think the point that needs to be made here is that what happens on one person's computer does not respresent what will happen on someone else's computer. So yeah, I understand that while it works for me, that doesn't mean it will work for others.
I don't know what you mean by x64 being faster than 7. Windows 7 IS x64, as well as 32-bit. In my opinion, Windows 7 is great. Never owned vista, but if I had to wadger, I'd say you have Windows Vista or Windows XP. Yeah, I wouldn't upgrade for ddfix alone, but there's surely lots more reasons to upgrade than that.
Edit: I saw your post in the other thread regarding ATI drivers, and I see you have Windows XP x64.
Even I didn't want to update because I loved Windows XP, but I finally decided to update some months ago and I like Windows 7 to be honest. Sure it has problems, but every release of Windows does.
Edit Edit: That may be true, the notion that XP x 64 is faster, but it's old. Windows 7 is the future.
