Cinnamon and apples, eh? I'll have to give those a go. Thanks, guys. If any passing Admin feels particularly strongly about the cinnamon option, maybe they could add it to the poll?

I wish I could say I have it the proper way, with just water and salt, but I just gots to have my pansy-ass milk and sugar.
And salt. It needs salt to act as a basis for the sweetness. You can't have icing without the cake.

I also couldn't vote because cinnamon and plumsies are missing.

Sometimes sugar if I think I could do with the energy (e.g. in the morning) but otherwise, nothing.

Some variation of cinnamon, sugar, honey, walnuts or raisins with a splash of milk (or heavy cream on special occasions).

i tried my daily bowl of porridge with some honey on it - just your bogstandard marks and spencers honey.
wasnt bad; bit too sweet for my liking.
usually i'm just simple milk with nothing else though.

Alpen's where it's at. And no, not on porridge, instead of it ;)
Lyle's golden syrup is definitely the way to go if porridge has to be eaten though.
