It's all lies, I tell you. This is what Yoda really said: "Show me just what Muhammad new brought has, and there will you only evil things and inhuman things find, such as, that he commanded has the faith he preached by the sword to spread."

Maybe those millions of muslims should start acting more offended about what a certain percentage of thier fellows muslims are doing in the name of thier religion.;)

Reading the statement, new Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone said the Pope's position on Islam was in line with Vatican teaching that the Church "esteems Muslims, who adore the only God".

Is it me misreading it or are they suggesting that Islam's god and Christianity's God are not mutually exclusive?

I was under the impression that Christians, Jews and Muslims worshipped the same god, but from the perspective of their own various prophets?

Well Christians believe in the Trinity with Jesus as God so therefore if Islam believes that Jesus is not God then it is mutually exclusive.

The only Christians I know that believe in a 'Trinity' are called Catholics. As a matter of fact, a local church I used to go to didn't even attribute God-hood to Jesus saying that in the scriptures he distinguished himself from God many times ("it is not I that am good but the Father whom sent me", etc...)

Mainstream Protestants and Catholics believe in the Trinity.
The Catholic Church's comments confused me though.

Fun thing is, now they're threathening to kill pope/bomb Vatican for that speech.
I think there was some irony missed there.
