Giving it another playthrough...and this time going wrench only.
This is going to royally suck since there are LOTS of security cameras that are just too high to reach. Oh well, thats why we were given hacking skills.
The AR just kinda took the fear right outta the game, but thats what the AR is ment for, huge gun that could take out a charging rumbler in three hits.

Well...only after the whole thing happened, and even then I figured since they turned right 'round on me that it was a glitch.
Why should the UNN bots attack you? SHODAN hasn't infiltrated the colony.
But hey, how about that animated skybox? Yeah, it's too jerky. I couldn't figure out a way to set the animation rate for skybox textures. They don't show up in ShockEd's object browser.

How many different frames can you have? Cuz I was thinking, if you can have enough of them, then making the incremental change between each frame very small, you can make the animation smoother but you'll lose a lot of speed in the overall progression of the animation. So i guess it would only be appropriate for certain types of animations where any speed is believable.

20 frames, defaulting to about 4 FPS. Ideal for computer screen animations but not much else.

Well I"m just telling you how it was man. Those bots were shooting right at me before I bugged out to watch and see if they'd all start turning on the saurians or if that first shot was a fluke.

Ahh, I might be able to join in the conversation. I don't know what went wrong with the original try but I've got the mod working :cheeky:
I was messing around with a windows Vista beta test and it worked under that :wot:
Thats right SS2 works under vista! (except for the movies but I think that fix would be the same as XP)

Of course, since it's the Beta version you never know.....they might add some new little thing in the final release that makes SS2 unplayable.
But, for now, this is a very good sign. Thanks for sharing!

Made it through to Recreation(I went through engineering then went to rec. Its definatly a challange, what with cameras being so high off the ground, however I'm managing through so far with only one death and that was to a protocol droid I didn't notice while in engineering.
Next: Officer's subsection and the Bridge...this is gonna be FUN....

Just a quick note of thanks to Christine, ZylonBane and everyone involved in this new version. Finished it this morning, loved the new stuff, logs, extra areas etc. Took me close to 7 hours on the "load game" screen, so you can add a few extra minutes to that! Excellent work.
