Today my weekend starts around 1pm when I go out for a boozy lunch then say fuck off to my place of work and that doesn't stop til Wednesday rolls around or we have to take Bill to the hospital to get his stomach pumped.

Double post.
Could you please elaborate using the following outline:
I) Ways to go about getting your dick sucked
a) Married
b) Unmarried
II) Ways to go about NOT getting your dick sucked
a) Married
b) Unmarried
Please apply all instructions to heterosexual relationships. Gay folks can come up with your own damn outline.
While there are many varied ways and opinions of ways to achieve question 1, I would have to agree that posting a poll in an online forum in order to win
an anal retentive argument with your girlfriend would by most accounts be solidly in the category of question 2.
But maybe that turns her on.

Eh hem! Getting back to the Friday thingy then. My Friday is the end of the week workwise, but not the weekend. For me the week end is the end of the week such as Saturday as I was forced to believe by my elementary school teachers. I used to have split days off for years and I was confused because I was trained, by me evil school teachers, that Saturday was the beginning of the weekend. So then with split days off I would have two weekend days that were both the beginning and the end of two weekends in one week. Now after fourteen years of that I am back to the traditional weekend on Saturday and Sunday. But!!! I usually start drinking at lunch on Friday, so when does the weekend really start, for me at least? Technically I am being paid for five days of work, but in reality I am only sober for 4.5 days during the work week. So this "Friday/weekend" argument does not work for me in my world. There is no room for half sober/drunk days that are technically full days in this arguement. So where does this leave us? Perhaps mentally the Friday is a part of the weekend, but physically it is not ... for some ... and not those with split days off and do not go to church.
I hope this clears things up.:cheeky:

Classes end at 5pm on Thursday. The weekend starts at 6pm sharp and ends around 4am Monday morning, before I go to sleep to wake up for a 2pm class. So therefore Friday is included in the weekend (my weekends are way too long, I think I have close to the same amount of "weekend" time as I have "week" time.) However, that demands a social/personal responsibility toward work obligations view of the week vs. weekend. The days which endcap the week are obviously Saturday and Sunday (end and beginning of the week, respectively,) though in practical application this has close to zero use (unless you have, like a steady job, or something ridiculous like that.)

What about those who work 4 day weeks? I used to work overnights Thur-Sun. My weekend was Mon-Wed. It used to piss people off when I'd tell them to have a nice weekend bright & early Monday morning!
Or for those who work 9 hr days and alternate between Mon-Thurs then Tues-Fri. Their weekends would change every other weekend from Sat & Sun to Fri-Mon.
Or my old schedule...Mon-Thu first shift & Sat second shift. Party starts on Thu nite (Ladies' Nite). Party Fri. Wake up late on Sat, go in at 2PM, get off at 11PM and continue partying until Sun nite. The perfect schedule if you are single.
So, work based weekends are completely variable. I voted for Sat & Sun.

In fact, Friday is not one of the two days that either begin the week, or end it. Culturally, Friday is lumped in, but only once the workday part is left behind. To many university students, Friday is part of the weekend because they likely have no classes. Friday NIGHT may be considered a part of the weekend, but technically, the weekend starts at midnight, or Saturday morning. Scientifically, she's incorrect. Socially, she's not.
I like this guy's answer.:) Explained in a nice simple manner that makes sense. In my case, I don't work but go to school and for me Thursday night is the start of my weekend because I fall under the "university students - friday no classes" thingy. (Though I don't go to a university, I go to a community college. My friend goes to university and he's got Friday classes. Go figure. Just depends on the university and whatnot.)

It dates from when Constantine created modern Christianity, by merging St Paul's Jesus cult and the pagan Imperial cult of Sol Invictus into a single entity.

I'm puzzled by this "Sunday is the first day of the week" thing... Not only because I'm used to Sunday being last myself, but because it's always been my understanding that Sunday is traditionally the last day of the week in Western cultures, specifically Christian, since it's the 7th day, day of rest and worship... Apparently I'm wrong.
oh hell, why don't we just agree (at least culturally) that Sunday is both the start and the end of a week? That's how I see it, considering it's the last day of the weekend, but also the start of the next week - though I kind of think Monday is the start but whatever.

Although, I always think of Thursday as the first day of the week and Wednesday as the last day, because thats the way it is for me. Weeks are numbered and start on Thursday.
This means that odd week wednesday and even week thursday fall inside the same traditional week.
