Poll to solve a dispute with my gf. Is Friday considered part of "the weekend"? - by io organic industrialism

Early church tradition holds that Jesus was resurrected on a Sunday, though there's no record of them observing Sabbath on Sunday because they were all Jewish until the end of the first century, and therefore continued to observe the traditional Jewish Shabat on Saturday. When the church became predominantly gentile around 70-80 AD, moving the day of worship to Sunday was one of the many things that was purposely done to signify a break from traditional Judaism (this is also when gentiles started closing eyes and folding hands to pray, since the Jews prayed with eyes open and hands raised, etc.).
Btw, the next person to say 'Constantine created modern Christianity' gets raped in the left eye hole with a Dan Brown action figure. Fucking shit. :tsktsk:

Using the results of an online poll, to prove that you were right in a ridiculous argument, is no way to go about getting your dick sucked.
Double post.
Could you please elaborate using the following outline:
I) Ways to go about getting your dick sucked
a) Married
b) Unmarried
II) Ways to go about NOT getting your dick sucked
a) Married
b) Unmarried
Please apply all instructions to heterosexual relationships. Gay folks can come up with your own damn outline.

(
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pete_Tong) Pete Tong used to be gearing up for the weekend by pimping his radio show on a Thursday night - but let's face it, he's a complete fucking tool.
Variable weekend start for me - Friday anytime between 3pm and 7pm, depending on what time I get out of the office.

Yeah, this. The weekend is less like Friday midnight to Sunday midnight and more like Friday evening to Sunday evening.

I think we can all agree however that he was highly instrumental in the spread and acceptance of Christianity. I'm not sure where it would be without him, certainly not where it is today, even if many of the traditions date from before and after him.

If by 'highly instrumental' you mean making it legal and calling for the Council of Nicene, then yes. If you mean dictating Christian doctrine and changing/dictating the cannon, and such things as 'Church is on Sunday," then no, no, no, hell no.

Yes to the former no to the latter. I'm not even that particularly convinced he was a true believer.

Already been QFTd man, but yeah, is true. Friday night is when the beer-binging, booty-bumping post-workweek celebration starts.
And if anyone disagrees, they can take it up with (

For me subjectively it starts Friday evening but I voted Sat+Sun anyway because clearly that's the manly thing to do here. I know how it is when you have an argument with your GF and they just won't take your word for it.
